There is a saying going around that says “you can tell a lot about a person based on what is on their mp3 player”. If that is true, what does my iPod say about me? Here is a list of podcasts that you would find currently ready for my listening pleasure:
48 Days to the Work You Love with Dan Miller and Tim Knox. This is my absolute FAVORITE podcast! This is a live-radio show every Sunday that is recorded and then made available via a podcast the following week. Dan and Tim talk give a very practical and often humorous insight to finding the work you love. This is based on Dan’s book 48 Days to the Work you Love
The Tim Knox Show: Common Sense Business Advise with a Side Order of Fun. This comes in a very close second to the 48 Days podcast. I cannot say enough about Tim Knox. He has very practical advice for becoming an Entrepreneur. In fact, over the next several weeks, I am going to feature Tim’s news articles on various topics such as Women Business Owners, Having a Vision, Mentors, and Business Lessons Learned at the Mall.
Dr. Kevin Leman. Dr. Leman has taught and entertained audiences worldwide with his wit and common sense psychology. My husband and I took a video series class taught by Dr. Leman on the subject of raising kids. I highly recommend it to all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, child care providers, teachers – anyone who is involved in the act of raising a child.
Joel Osteen (you know, the “Smiling Preacher”). Joel is the lead Pastor at Lakewood Church in Texas. You probably have seen him on t.v. I like Joel’s messages because they always seem to hit me where I am at, at any given moment. Look for a blog posting to come at a later date referring to living out your dreams and going from “the pit to the palace”. This was an inspiring message that I heard from one of Joel’s team members.
Joyce Meyer – Enjoying Everyday Life. The same as with Joel’s podcast, Joyce gives a fresh take on applying practical principles from God's Word to everyday life.
VA Industry related podcasts. Although this is a relatively new way to promote the VA industry, there are a few Virtual Assistants leading the way:
The Virtual Voice – by Team Double Click
VA to Stay – by Crystal Linnen
Virtually Hidden – The official podcast about Virtual Assistants
This list is only a small snapshot of what I like to listen to. To find these particular podcasts and others like them, please visit the iTunes store for more information.
So, what is your MP3 player saying about you?
